Holocaust Survivor Night Of Miracles

Join PowerUP on the 4th night of Hanukah and learn how to find the light in the darkest of moments by hearing Survivor, Renee Firestone share her miraculous story of surviving the Holocaust. At the tender age of 20, Renee was imprisoned for 13 months in the infamous concentration camp, Auschwitz / Birkenau during the last years of World War II. Renee lectures about her Holocaust experiences throughout the United States and abroad to students and adults of all ages and walks of life, including various branches of the United States military, and NASA. She is most known as founding lecturer for the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Educational Outreach Program. In addition to being the subject of countless television, radio, and print media interviews regarding the Holocaust and its contemporary implications, Renee was twice honored by Israel Bonds receiving both the Elie Wiesel Holocaust Remembrance Medal and the Golda Meir Award .In December of 2006, Renee was the special surprise presenter to Steven Spielberg at the Kennedy Center Honors For The Performing Arts. And finally, among many other accomplishments, in December 2015, the Shoah Visual History Foundation immortalized Renee in a Hologram so that her teachings can be heard by generations far into the future.

Followed by lighting Hanukah candles, drinks and light refreshments.
